Ichiran Is The Perfect Ramen House For Introverts

Ichiran has recently invaded Brooklyn, New York.  It’s one of the most popular ramen chains in the world.

First off, Ichiran is my favorite ramen bowl in the world.  I’ve eaten at the Hong Kong and Brooklyn branches and I have to give them credit that they’re all pretty consistent in terms of quality.  In addition, it’s perfect for someone like me who is anti-social.  I don’t like talking to people especially when I’m stuffing my face.  I know.  It’s horrible but I’ve self-diagnosed myself as an introvert.

The restaurant is set up like board exams.  It’s literally a window that brings the food and the only thing that a customer sees are three walls.  I don’t know about you but that’s perfect.  It’s the perfect date spot cause people don’t have to notice each other’s weird eating habits.  Seriously.  How many dinner dates have we been on where the other person chews with their mouth open?

Ichiran only serves ramen.  It only serves one type of ramen — tonkotsu.  The heavenly pork bone based broth is what gives Tonkotsu flavor.  Like I said before, Ichiran’s ramen is my favorite in the world.  The oily, rich, and umami flavor ramen provides the perfect component to a comforting bowl of soup like sleeping in your bed after a horrible one night stand.   The perfect garlic portion with the overdone chopped green onion has my mouth watering like Niagara Falls.  The fragile chashu soaked in the salty broth is amazing when eaten with the noodles.

Finally,  Ichiran is the best ramen in the world.  I don’t know any other ramen that comes close to them.  The only other two would be Santouka and Totto Ramen.  However, those are pretty far behind Ichiran.   Must eat while in Tokyo.
