Grain Bar & The Four Seasons

Grain is located in the Four Seasons Hotel.  It’s a decent size bar/lounge with a full bar.

It works as a great first stop to get the night started in Sydney.  It’s very trendy and has a lively atmosphere; there’s a DJ and 3-4 bartenders working the bar.  The drinks are a bit pricey, but that’s expected for something located in the Four Seasons.  The bartenders don’t do double shots for your drinks, which I thought was kind of lame.  I guess they’re trying to keep it a classy joint.  Gosh… Why do I come to these fine establishments?!

However, the decor is warm, welcoming and well lit at 9 PM.  I’m sure they dim the lights once the night rages on or when the freaks come out.  You know the freaks come out at night, right?  The bartenders were full of suggestions for local bars around the area based on your mood and appeared to be all in their early 20s.   The good thing about the bar is it’s not stuffy or pretentious for being connected to the Four Seasons.

Overall, it’s a pretty posh bar with a great atmosphere.  It’s located next to the Four Seasons, so you could see all my luxury cars parked outside if you decide to visit the Grain Bar.  Lastly, I really enjoyed the few drinks I had here and definitely recommend this as a first stop for the night.  By a few drinks, I mean like 7 single shots cause they don’t do double shots.
