Pizzeria Ora is provided me with two things the big names in Chicago pizzeria didn’t, which were they were open late and they delivered. I got back to the hotel and I was hungry from drinking at the Aviary and the Office.

It was like 12:30 AM and I was staying at the Hard Rock in the Loop. I gave them a quick call and they said they will be able to deliver. I made my order and they said it will be there in an hour which felt like an eternity. However, it wasn’t too bad as I was entertained by my buddy who was drunk dialing every girl in his contact list.
The best part of the conversation was when they were talking about religion and the girl on the phone said she wanted someone who believes in God. He replied back with the best line of all time, which was “I may not believe in God but I believe in love”. I was laughing hysterically and could not stop for a good 10 minutes. I heard her say “Who’s there? Are you drunk?” Now, that’s game, son. Mack game too strong. Way too strong.
Anyway, the pizza delivery guy arrived and I paid for the late night “snack.” Now, the food.
- Mozzarella Sticks – The mozzarella sticks came in a pack of six sticks and served with marinara sauce. The batter on the sticks was crispy and slightly salty. However, the mozzarella didn’t taste fresh. It was really firm and didn’t stretch as you bit into it then pulled it away. You didn’t have the elastic appearance like Mister Fantastic being jerked off by the Invisible Woman.
Moz Sticks - Chicken Wings – The order came with 10 pieces of wings and I went with the mild version. I was drunk but I didn’t want to feel the consequences the next day for ordering hot. As with most wings, it came with ranch sauce. The wings were large, juicy, and tenderly succulent pieces of meat. The tangy mild sauce was a good touch and took me by surprise like Drake’s Back To Back diss track. “Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour? …Yeah, trigger fingers turn to twitter fingers. You gettin’ bodied by a singin’ brotha…And shout-out to all my boss b*tches wife-in brothas” Still not a Drake fan but he owned Meek.
- Supreme Deep Dish Pizza – We went with the medium and it took 45 minutes to prepare. It contained sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions and green peppers. It was a pretty good size pizza and the alcohol definitely made it taste better. The salty and juicy pieces of sausage and pepperoni. The ripe mushrooms, onions and green peppers was a good addition to the pie. The crunch of the crust and the layers of ingredients made a perfect meal as I listened to my buddy still trying to spit game at 1:30 AM.
Supreme Deep Dish Pizza
Overall, the food was fairly decent drunk food. However, I was pretty buzz so that could have been a major factor in the taste. Anyhow, I definitely enjoyed the pizza and chicken wings as a late night snack. When in Chicago, just remember one thing – I may not believe in God but I believe in love.
