Wolfgang’s Steakhouse & Beverly Hills Steaks

We went here for a buddy’s bachelor party instead of going to Vegas and getting “bro” wasted.  They chose the classy route instead of the trashy route.

I personally would have went with the trashy route and made it a memorable experience that no one would have remembered.  What’s better than having a completely mischievous time in Los Angeles filled with blow, escorts and sharing book recommendations?

Anyways, the restaurant was very classy and the service was awesome.  We ordered the porterhouse for two, prime NY sirloin steak, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, and lobster mac n cheese.  It was a lot food for 5 guys who could eat like a fat kid at McDonald’s.

The steak was great but it wasn’t amazing.  It had seared marks but I think the cut was too thick. The thickness of the steak kind of killed the flavor of the steak. The sides were awesome especially the lobster mac n cheese. The mac n cheese was super cheesy but could have used more lobster.  The mashed potatoes were fluffy and I wish it had more butter.  It creamed corn was perfect but could have used more cream.   I could have use a lot more of the unhealthy stuff if you haven’t noticed.

Overall, Wolfgang Zwiener did a great job for being the head waiter at Peter Lugar and the overall experience was great in Beverly Hills.  I would come back if I won the lottery and wanted to spend my $5M in a week.

Summary

The restaurant was very classy and the service was awesome. The steaks were fairly good and it’s definitely different than Mastro’s or the other steakhouse chains in Los Angeles.
