Whenever I’m in New York, I was frequent Berkli Parc in the morning.

I needed a convenient spot to grab my coffee in the morning and Berkli Parc provided that for me. It was a block from my buddy’s apartment, so I could grab a quick cup and walk back. I come in stumbling and mumbling in the morning since my buddy lives a block away from them. I wake up, throw on my shirt and cap, walk down to Berkli Parc, order my cup of coffee. I do this all without even the thought of brushing my teeth or showering since no one in New York is awake before 9 AM on the weekend.
In addition, I don’t feel bad at all since I know they won’t recognize me the next time I’m in New York. The theme was very heavily influence by California Berkeley and it had a lot of Bear memorabilia. The store itself was pretty small and always packed. However, they have changed their decor to resemble more of a hipster yet rustic ambiance.
To my surprise, there are always people in the coffee shop on their Apple laptop enjoying Facebook at 8:30 AM. I’m not sure why they need to go to a coffee shop to use Facebook. To each his/her own. I’m totally not judging. Okay. Maybe slightly. Overall, Berkli Parc was a neat little coffee shop in L.E.S. and has a lot of appeal. I’m a fan of their Black Coffee and Cappuccino even though the last thing I need in the morning is a cute little design when I’m in desperate need of coffee.
