The Halal Guys is a pretty famous food cart in Midtown right across the Midtown Hilton on 6th and 53rd. It’s a notoriously cheap meal for a city known for its high food prices like their skyline.
The line in the dead of winterThere are two carts on the corner of 6th & 53rd street. The famous carts has lines longer than the lines of women outside of Trump Tower trying to hang Donald Trump at the moment. The Halal Guys is a no frills food cart that has been franchised across the United States. However, no location quite lives up to the original food cart in Midtown.
The main reasons are the prices, ambiance and portion. The Midtown location stacks the food on like the lawsuits Donald Trump is currently facing due to his “locker-room talks” allegations. In addition, there’s nothing like sitting in Midtown among the skyscrapers stuffing your face with a plate of Halal Guys’ Chicken & Rice.
The 2nd cartThey’re to food cart in New York as the Bacon Hot Dogs stand is in Los Angeles. It’s well worth it even though you’re freezing your butt off standing in line while it’s snowing in the dead of Winter. The good news is that the line moves fairly fast like Donald Trump’s poll numbers heading south.
Lamb, Chicken & RiceNow, I might be a little late on my review of the Halal Guys like it’s too late for Donald Trump to save his presidential campaign, but I’m going to go full Trump and say “f*ck it”. The bowl is full of flavor and dirt cheap in a city where everything is overpriced. The white sauce is amazing like seeing Donald Trump having a meltdown. The lamb has a good flavor to it and not dry like Hilary Clinton during a speech.
The chicken isn’t dry and it was moist. I think it had to do with it being shredded versus it coming in big chunks which tends to try out the chicken. I would suggest a lot of white sauce and a drizzle of hot sauce cause you’ll feel the it when it comes out your behind. It’s kind of like when Rudy Giuliani talks. It’s a bunch of bullshit from an a-hole.
Anyway, the Halal Guys is a must stop in New York. It’s a cheap meal while you take in New York’s charm like how you take in the debacle of this year’s United States Presidential debates. I’ll definitely be down to wait in line, so Halal back, girl!
